Dr. W.W. Steele died Saturday evening at his home in Rockville after a brief illness. The deceased was the son of the late Dr. Steele of Waveland and was well known in Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of the Rush Medical College and a man of rare intellectual attainments. Some years ago he discovered a cure for the liquor habit and opened a sanitarium at Judson which he afterwards removed to Rockville, Dr. Steele was 42 years of age. The remains were taken to Waveland for burial. - transcribed by kbz

Dr. W.W. Steele, of Rockville, whose death is reported, was a native of Waveland and graduate of Rush Medical College. He was 42 years old. C 2 – Dr, Steele, Jr., died at Rockville on Sunday. He was formerly of Waveland. Recently he has conducted a Keeley cure at Judson but removed to Rockville. In a fit of discouragement he took to drink again and death was the result of a debauch. He was a man of fine intellect and high social qualities. – kz
